Before starting large projects, I like to get an understanding of what is happening within that space with best practices, trends, design treatments, interactions, etc… so for Whistle Sports I dove in to see what was happening within the online sport arena, sports branding treatments and iOS application UI treatments.
Whistle Sports wanted to extend their sports channel offering beyond YouTube and seeing the large percentage growth of entertainment consumption on the Xbox year after year, specifically among millennials, they decided to lead with the Xbox 360 as their first platform outside of the YouTube/online environment. By going with Xbox 360, Whistle Sports was able to create custom branded channels for their content creators. With this flexibility, they partnered with Subaru, as their launch partner and their Frisbee trick shot creator Brodie Smith to make exclusive content for the application release into the marketplace.
